Questions?

  • Direct Primary Care is an innovative primary care practice model defined by the enduring and trusting relationship between a patient and their doctor. Patients receive comprehensive primary health care directly from their DPC physician and pay for this care through a monthly fee.

As DPC practices do not participate in any insurance or plans, our physicians are able to avoid the ever-increasing and costly documentation demands and administrative intrusions that come with accepting insurance - these require staff, time, money and often amount to substantial intrusions on patient privacy.

As DPC physicians are able to avoid these obligations to insurance companies, we are free to spend time listening to and working with our patients. And wihtout the significant overhead costs of participating in insurance, we are able to pass these savings on to you, the patient, and provide compassionate, attentive and timely care at an affordable cost.

  • Unfettered access to friendly and exceptional integrative and functional medicine providers who have the time and willingness to get to know you and work with you to optimize your health.

Our patients have access to innovative primary and integrative care through unlimited office visits, ongoing wellness counseling and tracking, well-child exams, sports and school physicals, school, basic office procedures, and treatment of acute illness or minor injuries all with no wait times in our office.

Our patients also have access to discounted labs, medications, supplements, imaging tests and special procedures.

  • No. We understand needs change, you may cancel at any time.

  • No. This is one of the defining features of Direct Primary Care. We are here to work for you, not insurance companies.

Most of our patients do have insurance and often choose to use insurance for lab tests, radiology, medications, etc.

  • While we don't require it, we highly recommend it. Our practice endeavors to manage most of your primary health care needs; however, Direct Primary Care does not replace insurance nor does it qualify as an exemption for the state or federal insurance mandate.

We encourage our patients to carry a high deductible major medical plan or a plan with a health savings account, thereby ensuring financial help should hospitalization or referral to a specialist become necessary.

Our practice also pairs well with medical cost sharing plans which function similarly to insurance and can often be more affordable.

  • Yes. However, keep in mind that we are opted out of Medicare and your monthly membership fee cannot be submitted to Medicare for reimbursement. You must sign a waiver every two years that declares that neither you nor your doctor will directly bill Medicare for your membership fee.

Medicare and medicare supplemental insurance will still cover medical costs that you incur outside of our practice.

  • Many patients find that their DPC fees can be reimbursable through their HSA or FSA accounts.

Starting in 2026, HSA can officially be used to pay DPC monthly membership fees.

As FSA are employer-based, reimbursement is case dependent.

However, we advise you to consult your tax advisor for more detailed guidance on your particular circumstances.
